Our Amazon Music picks

If your study playlists need a refresh, Amazon Music’s three-month free offer is the perfect excuse to dive into something new. Here’s our top picks for this month (and also one of the most-streamed albums on Amazon Music right now):

Noah Kahan – The Great Divide

If you’re deep into revision mode, Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide might be exactly what you need.

Following the success of Stick Season, this new release leans into his signature folk-pop sound – emotional, reflective, and very easy to have on repeat during long library sessions.

It landed on Thursday, 24th April, making it perfectly timed for finals season.

Our Amazon Audible picks

Who doesn’t love a good audiobook? Whether you’re walking (or running) to your next lecture or doing a quick food shop, audiobooks are the easiest way to keep up with the latest reads – hands-free.

And with the Amazon Audible student discount, you can start listening with a 30-day free trial. Here are a couple of reads/listens we recommend you start playing:

The Housemaid & The Housemaid’s Secret – Freida McFadden

If you want something gripping, this is where to start.

The Housemaid introduces Millie Calloway, who takes a job working for a wealthy family, only to find herself pulled into a tense, unpredictable situation where nothing is quite what it seems... The sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret, raises the stakes even further, placing Millie in another household filled with secrets and manipulation.

With the first book recently adapted into a film starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney – and a second film already announced for 2027 – there’s a lot of hype around this series right now. If you’re into psychological thrillers that keep you guessing, this is an easy add to your list.

Off-Campus series – Elle Kennedy

If you’re in the mood for something lighter, the Off-Campus series is a solid pick.

Starting with The Deal, the story follows a fake-dating romance between a music student and a university hockey captain; mixing humour, relationships, and all the chaos that comes with student life.

With five books in the series (The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, The Goal, and The Legacy), it’s the kind of listen you can stick with beyond just one title — especially if you’re looking for something easy to dip into between exams.

Seek the Traitor’s Son – Veronica Roth

If you’re after something more intense, Seek the Traitor’s Son brings together dystopian world-building with romantasy elements.

Set between two warring nations, the story blends political intrigue with a fated-lovers storyline, all centred around a dangerous, mysterious force known as “Fever”.

Written by Veronica Roth — best known for the Divergent series — this release marks a shift into more mature storytelling. It’s also gaining attention for its more “artsy” tone, making it one to watch, especially if you’re into film, media, or storytelling. It lands on Monday, 12th May, so make sure to add it to your reminders list.

Our Amazon Prime picks

The Boys on amazon prime video

Between assignments and deadlines, sometimes you just need a solid series to unwind with. Luckily, the Amazon Prime student discount unlocks a huge library of TV and films right at your fingertips.

Right now, students can get six months free Prime, then 50% off – just £4.49 a month. Here’s what everyone’s watching this month:

Off Campus

If you’re looking for something easy to binge after a long day, Off Campus delivers classic college romance energy.

Dropping on Wednesday, 13th May, the series follows the relationship between a music student and a university hockey player, exploring friendships, relationships, and the reality of growing up.

Adapted from a hugely popular book series (mentioned above), it’s giving ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ vibes; perfect if you want something emotional but still easy to watch.

Spider-Noir

If you want something visually different, Spider-Noir stands out straight away.

Starring Nicolas Cage, this Amazon Original is set in a 1930s noir-style New York, following a darker, alternate version of a superhero story. It’s being released in two formats (full colour and authentic black and white), leaning heavily into its aesthetic.

It’s not part of the traditional Marvel universe, which gives it more freedom to experiment with tone and style.

It lands on Tuesday, 27th May so stay tuned. You're gonna want to see this.

The Boys

The Boys returned for its fifth and final season, wrapping up the ongoing battle between Butcher and Homelander.

The final episode of the fifth and last season drops on Tuesday 20th May, bringing the story between Butcher and Homelander to a close.

Expect the same brutal, over-the-top action and dark comedy the series is known for, just with everything pushed even further for the finale.
