Can I get a student discount at the cinema?
Let's face it, once you've bought your cinema tickets, popcorn and a drink the price starts to add up— especially if you're a regular at the cinema. If a few of the upcoming cinema releases on this list have caught your eye and you're planning a few cinema dates, you're in luck as you can now get a student discount at Odeon.
With our student discount, you can save 20% on a myLIMITLESS membership which means you can see unlimited films without breaking the bank. With Odeon myLIMITLESS you can see as many movies as you want, as many times as you want (so no one's judging you if you've seen Wicked three times) and 10% off food & drink so you can treat yourself to a large popcorn. You'll also get member perks such as invites to exclusive early screenings and other premium upgrades, so if you're a film fan it's definitely worth checking it out.
Our 20% Odeon student discount makes for a great Valentine's Day gift idea for under £25. Ideal for those on a budget!
Can I use my student ID at the cinema?
This often depends on the cinema and the person who is checking your ID.
While student IDs might be accepted it's probably best not to rely on it as often only government-issued IDs are accepted as official ID. This means if you're going to see a 15 or 18+ film you'll want to have your driving or provisional licence or your passport.
If you forget and only have your student ID card, it might be accepted if it's a photo ID and has your date of birth but it also might not be accepted, so it's best to bring your driving licence or passport just in case to avoid being turned away when you get to the cinema as different cinemas have different policies on what they can and can't accept.
Remember that the cinema will ask for ID for restricted films, so try not to forget it before you head off or you might be turned away.
So, now you know all the UK cinema releases coming this year and how you can save money with our Odeon student discount you'll never have a boring weekend again!
