These Are The Unis Where You're Most Likely To Find A Romantic Partner

Hoping to meet the love of your life at uni? Well, statistically speaking it's way more common at some unis than others.
We've all heard those fairytale stories of people meeting during freshers' week or their first lecture, falling in love and happily married 40 years on. However, if you're currently in uni you may be wondering just how likely this is, especially if you haven't really had much luck in finding "the one" just yet.
Well, The Knowledge Academy surveyed students from universities across the UK and discovered that 35.63% of students found a romantic partner while at uni and a further 12.17% went on to marry this partner–– so maybe there is hope!
The research showed which unis are best if you want to find a romantic partner and even go on to marry them, so if you're planning ahead here's everything you need to know:
Unis where you're most likely to meet a romantic partner
1. University of York- 63.30% met a romantic partner at uni
2. University of Manchester- 61.74% met a romantic partner at uni
3. University of Bristol- 57.41% met a romantic partner at uni
4. University of Leeds- 57.00% met a romantic partner at uni
5. University of Southampton- 56.93% met a romantic partner at uni
6. University of Edinburgh- 56.45% met a romantic partner at uni
7. Durham University- 55.91% met a romantic partner at uni
8. University of Oxford- 52.34% met a romantic partner at uni
9. University of Liverpool- 52.34% met a romantic partner at uni
10. University of Cambridge- 48.39% met a romantic partner at uni

Unis where you're most likely to marry a romantic partner
From the above unis, this is how likely it is that you'll go on to marry your romantic partner from uni.
1. University of Oxford- 21.09% married their university partner
2. University of Manchester- 20.87% married their university partner
3. Durham University- 19.69% married their university partner
4. University of Edinburgh- 16.94% married their university partner
5. University of Cambridge- 14.52% married their university partner
6. University of Liverpool- 14.02% married their university partner
7. University of Bristol- 13.89% married their university partner
8. University of Southampton- 10.95% married their university partner
9. University of York- 7.34% married their university partner
10. University of Leeds- 5.00% married their university partner
So, while 57% of students met a romantic partner while at the University of Leeds only 5% actually went on to marry them. However, if you attend Oxford these relationships have the highest success rate as it's come out on top as the university where you'll marry your partner.
Unis where you're least likely to meet a romantic partner
However, if you attend one of the following unis it's probably not looking too good for you in terms of meeting a long-term partner while at uni.
1. University of Aberdeen- 6.4% met a romantic partner at uni
2. University of Glasgow- 8.26% met a romantic partner at uni
3. University of Reading- 13.22% met a romantic partner at uni
