I've just come out of the cinema with puffy eyes and a smile that hurts my cheeks.
Spider-Man: No Way Home has come out today and I feel so bright, I'm not sure how else to define it. This film has given me everything I could've ever wanted and more. Here's my spoiler-free review of the most talked about film of the year.
He is Spider-Man
Tom Holland is a phenomenal talent. He carries his emotions in his eyes, he completely throws himself into this film and it pays off. He proved himself to be capable from his first film, but in this one, he is Spider-Man.
The whole cast was great and it's so difficult to pick favourites. Zendaya shined as MJ and herself and Holland have some tingling energy, it's captivating.
Jacob Batalon was incredible, it was so great to see them focus on developing Ned's character, he was a joy to watch.
The big bads
Let's get onto the big bads. Willem Defoe is bursting with talent; he was my favourite villain to watch. The humanity and soul that he brings into the Green Goblin is sensational and such a treat to see it on screen.
Of course, Jamie Foxx brought the sass with Electro and Alfred Molina brought a smile onto my face anytime he was on screen, I couldn't take my eyes off him.
What's coming next…
The plot of this film is mad. It is so much to put into one story, but they pulled it off and then some. This film will affect the events of the next phase of Marvel, and they couldn't have introduced the next phase better than with this film, with these storylines and these actors.
This film has it all. Heart, laughter, tears, and moments where you just want to scream and jump in the air. Spider-Man was my first superhero, and this film shows that he is one of the greatest heroes of all time.
Well, I have a headache from crying so I'm going to leave it there. I cannot praise this film more, everything about it just had me hooked, beginning until end. There were no pacing issues, and everything fell together like honey.
Please go to the cinema and support this film, I promise you will not be disappointed. The feeling in the screening was electric, I haven't felt an energy like it for a long, long time. Stay safe and stay until the end. Spider-Man: No Way Home is out now!
